The City of Conway Community Center is accepting applications for Part Time Café/Concession Staff. This position is responsible for serving customers, preparing food and beverages, operating point-of-sale systems, and maintaining cleanliness within the facility.

This is a seasonal position. The majority of seasonal staff will be dismissed following Labor Day when outdoor operations close.

GENERAL SUMMARY

This position supports daily café and concession operations by providing customer service, preparing food and beverages, maintaining inventory, and ensuring a clean and safe environment for patrons. Employees must be dependable, detail-oriented, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Greet customers, take orders, prepare food and beverages, and operate point-of-sale systems
• Stock shelves, refill condiment stations, and replenish supplies as needed
• Maintain a clean and organized café/concession area
• Perform opening and closing duties for the café/concession stand
• Assist with inventory and report discrepancies
• Assist in maintaining overall facility cleanliness and safety
• Assist with opening and closing of the Community Center
• Respond to patron concerns in a professional manner
• Report damaged or broken equipment to the Operations Manager
• Work scheduled shifts including nights, weekends, holidays, and special events
• Perform other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Previous customer service experience preferred
• American Red Cross Certification preferred

 

Skills and Abilities:

• Ability to follow instructions and complete tasks with attention to detail
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
• Strong customer service and communication skills

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

This position is performed in a recreation facility environment. Duties require standing for extended periods, walking, bending, and lifting. Work may involve exposure to heat, kitchen equipment, and cleaning supplies.
