The City of Conway Community Center is accepting applications for Part Time Facility Monitor. This position is responsible for overseeing general activities inside the Conway Community Center.
This is a seasonal position. The majority of seasonal staff will be dismissed following Labor Day when outdoor operations close.
GENERAL SUMMARY
This position supports daily facility operations by assisting patrons, monitoring activities, and helping ensure the facility is safe, clean, and operating efficiently.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure members and the public are informed of and follow facility rules
- Ensure the facility is ready for reservations, parties, and events
- Provide customer service to those renting the facility, including assisting with party rooms
- Assist front desk staff with answering questions and assisting the public
- Assist with answering calls, checking in members, and verifying membership
- Assist in maintaining a clean and safe facility
- Assist with opening and closing of the facility
- Respond to patron concerns in a professional and consistent manner
- Report damaged or broken equipment to the Operations Manager
- Work scheduled shifts including nights, weekends, holidays, and special events
- Perform other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Previous customer service experience preferred
- American Red Cross Certification preferred

- Ability to read and understand instructions
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong customer service and communication skills
WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
This position is performed in a recreation facility environment. Duties require standing, walking, and interacting with the public throughout the shift.
