The City of Conway, Arkansas will continue to honor and remember fallen service members as the city has partnered with Hearts of Our Heroes in making Conway the permanent home of the Fallen Heroes Combat Boot Display. Moving forward, this powerful and moving tribute will be on display each year on the last weekend of September at Veterans Plaza at Pompe Park.

“We built Veterans Plaza to acknowledge the sacrifices and contributions of military personnel, ensuring they are not forgotten,” said Mayor Bart Castleberry. “When combined with the Fallen Heroes Combat Boot Display, the space will help ensure that stories of bravery, sacrifice, and service continue to be shared for generations to come. We are so thankful for this partnership.”

The solemn installation contains close to 700 pairs of combat boots, each representing a service member who passed away since 9/11. Each boot is accompanied by a photo and a name, offering a deeply personal glimpse into the lives of these brave men and women.

“We are thankful to the City of Conway for allowing Hearts of Our Heroes to set up and use the Veterans Plaza at Pompe Park for the annual Fallen Heroes Combat Boot Display,” said Hearts of Our Heroes Founder Andrea Fisher. “Veterans Plaza at Pompe Park provides a clean and accessible space for visitors to take the time to walk among the boots to read the names and see the pictures.”

Hearts of Our Heroes has worked closely with families who have lost loved ones since 2013.

“We have set up the Fallen Heroes Combat Boot Display at other locations around the state, but we are happy to know we can call Conway home moving forward,” said Fisher.
